ARA is proud to confirm three members of staff have been nominated by BAE Systems for the ‘Chairman’s Award for Innovation’ (CAI) in recognition of high performance during recent collaborative transonic wind tunnel test work. David Roberts and Luke Horner are nominated for the Team Tempest initiative to develop a next generation combat air system and Andrea Ciarella for collaborative work on the Turkish Aerospace TF-X fighter programme where BAE Systems is a design partner.
ARA is proud to announce that two members of staff have successfully worked towards professional engineering registration. Luke Horner and Aaron Cherry have patiently completed the application process for Incorporated Engineer and Engineering Technician respectively.
Following site risk assessments, new work health and safety measures have been put into place which will enable a partial re-opening of the ARA site, in line with UK Government guidelines for manufacturing and research facilities. Staff have been trained in the new safe working practices and issued with suitable PPE. We look forward to being able to resume supporting our customers in their ongoing projects and achieving a full operation in the coming weeks. Our priority remains the safety of our staff, customers and visitors and will constantly review our processes.
