Test Monitoring Facilities

Introduction

A comprehensive suite of facilities are available to our customers for monitoring a test.

Dedicated Customer Room for Test Monitoring

There is a dedicated and secure room within the Transonic Wind Tunnel (TWT) main control room where our customers can monitor their test in privacy while remaining very close to the ARA test team.

CCTV monitors provide views of the model in the test section

Dedicated screens controlled by our customers display live data as it is recorded.

Firewall protected PCs running Windows or Linux are available upon customer request. Customers can also provide their own equipment for connection to the secure customer network.

In addition to colour printers within the customer room, an industrial colour printer and photocopier reserved for customer use is located next to the customer room within the main control room.

Secure Data Transmission

A range of secure data transmission facilities is available upon prior customer request. We have extensive experience in setting up and supporting both ARA supplied and customer supplied Virtual Private Networks (VPN).

Secure Internet and Email Access

Virus scanned email and internet access is available from the very start of a test upon prior customer request.

IT Support

IT support for our customers is available throughout the test from a very experienced in-house team.

Kitchen and Lounge Area

A small kitchen and lounge area within the TWT control room is available to our customers during the test. Facilities include a coffee machine, fridge and microwave.
