Beta Polar

This animation shows the model moving through a “beta” or yaw polar controlled by the automatic model movement control system. The different yaw positions relative to the oncoming airflow are achieved with a combination of pitch and roll.

Notice how the sliding support strut keeps the model in the centre of the tunnel.
