ARA can cater with receiving representations of a model geometry from a Customer in a wide variety of data formats. CATIA V5 CAD software is currently our preferred system for design, although we also have many years of experience using Pro-E, should this software be a Customer's preference.

In the conversion of surface geometries into CAD solid models, significant problems can sometimes be encountered that hinder this process. ARA has many years experience in the:

• Complex stitching of surface patches
• Repair and manipulation of surface geometry data

to achieve a well behaved geometry suitable for subsequent design work. Customers are always included in this process loop and final agreement is always sought before proceeding.

A well defined functional specification is absolutely vital before the design process begins. Our experienced staff can provide expert assistance to ensure that the model design will achieve precisely what is required by the Customer and that the model/tunnel interface is fully understood.

In addition, we offer the service of undertaking short design studies to propose alternative solutions to model designs, which will either serve to de-risk a project some or will offer the potential of driving out cost from the model manufacture.
