Solution from DLR Tau code using SOLAR mesh

The Computational Aerodynamics Department develops software for numerical simulation of aircraft aerodynamics (Computational Fluid Dynamics, CFD) using C++ and Python.  It also uses this bespoke software and other, commercial CFD tools to generate aerodynamic performance data.

New team members are required for both the above streams of work and other support activities.

Tasks:
Development of code modules in C++, using STL & MPI, possibly with Python script wrapping
Generate aerodynamic data using bespoke CFD process
Generate aerodynamic data using Fluent
Related technical tasks

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Essential
Appropriate educational qualification (Bachelors degree or better)
Excellent customer-facing skills
Knowledge of Fluent and/or experience in other commercial CFD packages AND/OR
Strong experience in C++ programming, preferably in science-based applications

Preferable
Knowledge of fundamental fluid dynamics
Knowledge of aerodynamics
