Paul Hammond
Head of Design & Manufacture
Paul completed an engineering apprenticeship and attained an HNC in Mechanical and Production Engineering prior to joining ARA in the Design and Manufacture Department (D&M) in November 1984. Paul worked in manufacture and production engineering for a number of years, then progressed into process engineering and programming roles, achieving an HNC in Computer Studies in 1992. For a period of 4 years, Paul held the position of D&M Team Leader, project managing customer programmes to time, quality and cost. Paul was promoted to Workshop Manager in 2000, a position held for 4 years. In 2005, following a departmental restructuring, Paul assumed the role of Senior Team Leader, with greater responsibility for departmental performance. In January 2007, Paul was promoted to Head of D&M, responsible for the company’s business activities in the areas of model design and manufacture.
