This cartoon by Eric Burgin was first published in Punch magazine in 1956, the year ARA opened its doors! It was then reprinted in a collection of Punch cartoons titled 'Punch in the air' in 1983. This was a celebration of the bicentenary of flying based on the Motgolfier hot-air balloon flight on the 19th September 1783 at Versaille.
